Big trouble may be brewing in little Moldova, which is starting to look like a staging area for the European Union to offset an emerging Russian victory in Ukraine. Whether such a plan, if attempted, would succeed is not clear. But Moldova is not the most stable country in the world with the nation split between pro-EU and pro-Russian elements.
US troops are now in Moldova with Romanians, ostensibly for a military exercise called JCET 2024 (Joint Command Exchange Training). The exercise started on April 1 and will continue until April 19.

A regular joint exercise that has happened for the last several years is a normal event, not a sign of things to come. He admits the exercise has gone on for years:
"These exercises are not new but they taken on new urgency now because of the developing situation in neighboring Ukraine."
This can be said of every US and NATO military exercise since Russia's invasion. Bryen offers nothing to back up his claims such plans exist. Then he goes on speculating about all the events surrounding the plan he can't show exists outside of his imagination.
He's pontificating on what he does not know from a position of authority he doesn't have.

Don’t trust the media in what Putin is doing. He used the older equipment to buy time as his factories were ramped up to produce the latest technology that the Russians know how to produce.
He used his old equipment, because they were write-offs anyway. So, why not use them and destroy Ukrainian war machines in the process?
You’re saying Putin KNEW that this war would end up a quagmire? And he started it anyway? I’m sure lots of the families of dead Russian men will find comfort in knowing their dead went to some grandiose plan of the Little Napoleon!
The war is not a quagmire.
The active battlefield is now Russian oil refineries, the depleted Black Sea Fleet, the whole Russian economy
