Best Buy's Geek Squad Hit With Massive Layoffs

Best Buy’s Geek Squad was hit was massive layoffs this week.

According to 404 Media, who spoke to several employees, many Geek Squad members were told to work from home on Tuesday and wait for a call letting them know if they were still employed.

Employees reported that the layoffs came suddenly, and were reportedly because the company could no longer afford to pay them.

“It sucks, I spent more than half my life with this company and sacrificed a lot of personal time and experiences just to be let go,” a laid-off worker told the site. “At the same time, for me it’s for the best, haven’t been scheduled 40 hours since last year and it’s a struggle to get by so I’m off to a better job and better things.” Geek Squad members have been faced with layoffs rather frequently in recent years, so much so that employees call the mass layoffs "snaps," referring to what Thanos did in recent Marvel movies. In the r/GeekSquad subreddit for Geek Squad members, those who have been laid off also refer to themselves as “going sleeper” a reference to Sleep Cell.

I spent over a year testing places to see who took the mask signs seriously. That year has formed permanent medical/shopping/dining patterns.

Our church doubled from churches falling for the mask and jab lie.

We had four Masses maskless, one Mass Masky (but not the priest or altar boys). The maskless ones were overflowing, the masky one was about 40%, including those who didn’t prefer masks but either liked the 2pm time or the lack of a crowd.

God tells you to fear not for he is with you. What part didn’t the pastors get?

The pastor did not wear a mask ever.

Some of the parishioners either believed some of the mask propaganda and chose to wear one, especially if they were of frail health, some others were responding to pressure from family members or in one case a doctor employer who required it. The pastor had four Masses with no required mask and one with masks required, in order to give as many of the Faithful as possible access to the Sacraments. One reason the other four Masses were full were because of refugees from other churches, including the Cathedral, where the ushers liked being deputized to look for infractions. Our Pastor was also avoiding needless conflict with the Bishop.

I will disagree.

Car sales are a very small margin to the dealership. They make more for services .

Like a movie theater. They make their money on concessions and not movie tickets.

We've always had good experiences with our local Geek Squad in West Simsbury, CT.

We have since moved to Bluffton, SC and have so far had good experiences with the Bluffton Geek Squad as well.

I admit I didn't have time to read the entire article... so is the BB Geek Squad gone for good now? I hope not.

Took my PC to Geek Squad a couple years ago when the hard drive crapped itself. The GS guy was very knowledgeable and helpful, and it got fixed quickly. He obviously didn’t bathe regularly, but he was good with computers.

#40 Try this site.
4Inkjets
https://www.4inkjets.com

I have bought ink from them since 2007
They have the oem inks and 3rd party ink at much less prices. The ink is as good as the oem. Delivery is quick.

I have a Epson XP-7100 and buy 3rd party ink there. If not detected then run a few nozzle checks.

My next printer will be a Epson ecotank printer so I do not have to worry about running out of ink due to cleaning steps the printer takes that squirt the ink$ out.
