We answer your questions about immigrants and SNAP Benefits
The immigrant issue in Americahas reached a whole new level of scrutiny amid the recent waves of people coming into the country while searching for that American dream. Nations involved in this are people from Haiti, Ukraine, Palestine, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, and any other country that is currently having socio economic or political issues. Amid all the incoming folks getting in the country illegally, the ones that are already living here and are also immigrants are concerned over what could happen to their welfare programs. Because many of these illegal immigrants have already started to take welfare programs that are destined to legal immigrants and even homeless Americans. Folks who are unhappy or bewildered for that have the right to ask questions about it.
One of these programs is the Federal Food Stamp Program, which started in 1939 and it eventually became the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). This has turned into arguably the biggest safety net for nutrition in America. Every single year, there are more than 21.5 million low-income households that are aided by this program. But people want to know if these SNAP benefits or food stamps are being targeted by Illegal immigrants. A program that protects older adults, young children, single parents, and married couples. It also helps veterans, people with disabilities, and even immigrants. But what about illegal immigrants?

Can illegal immigrants get food stamps in the US?
Based on the Federal Immigration Office's rules, green card holders are definitely eligible for the SNAP benefits. People who are married to an illegal immigrant can still qualify for the program, it doesn't matter if their spouse is not eligible. The so-called Dreamers, who are children that arrived in the country illegally and are seeking citizenship are not eligible for SNAP. And for the record, the USDA has never extended SNAP eligibility for illegal immigrants. Other lawfully present non-citizens can apply for the program.
There are at least a half dozen free groceries giveaway places within as many miles in a lot of cities.
That’s on top if good stamps and all the rest. Usually zero names or identifications or documentation required anyway. Just haul
It all away
If it is anything close to the lavish welfare benefits-
they will enjoy a superior lifestyle to the working euro.
they will live in more space, have greater access to cheap food and will receive free state of the art medical care.
Leaving one to wonder, why does anyone bother working in Europe? They should all immigrate to the US.
They aren’t “immigrants”.
They’re illegal aliens who used force and violence to enter and remain in the United States.
No “immigrant” would do any such thing.
A hell of a lot more than my father, mother, and grandparents got when they came here legally in the 1900's, and 1920's.
The U.S. has laws that incentivize illegal immigration, have you thought about that? Our laws and practices actually reward people who come here illegally, over people who come here legally.
Yet precisely the type of people that DemocRats need for a permanent Rat base.
I have no problem with people in need taking free groceries from privately funded food banks.
Example of Food Assistance Program:
Asylees and refugees are eligible for FAP. Some other categories of immigrants are also eligible, including certified victims of human trafficking and Cuban/Haitian entrants.
You may have been told you are not eligible for the Food Assistance Program (FAP, also known as Food Stamps) because you are an immigrant. That may not be true. Depending on your immigration status, you may be eligible for FAP. Even if you are not eligible for FAP, other members of your household might be.
FAP Eligibility
Non-U.S. citizens must have an “acceptable status” to be eligible for FAP. Many factors can affect eligibility and it can be complicated to know if you have acceptable status. If you have questions about your status, you may want to contact a legal services office for help.

It will take them 2 seconds to turn it into cash and send it home
I have friend married toa Chinese woman who was living with her parents when Saigon fell. Because they were Chinese, they were evicted from their home and forced to live under the porch of someone’s house. They eventually made it to the US and were put on welfare, food stamps, and public housing. Her parents were ashamed to be living on the government dole and every person in the household went out and got 2-3 jobs so they wouldn’t be living off the government.
A propaganda-driven question!
The correct question is:
"What Benefits Do Those Filthy Disease-Ridden Migrant Invader Vermin Get in the US?"
Neither do I.
FYI, the food banks are not all private funded.
Sone are. Sone are public funded.
Mixture.
Also,
Some folks need the free groceries and others don’t. Every car (and I mean every last one without exception) at the free groceries giveaway is a nice new model. Sone expensive ones in the mix, too.
Of course it depends on location. Maybe more needy folks take the freebies in some places than in others. The sites are almost all no questions no identification no need testing so all we could do is observe the cars. Which looked all but like a new car dealership
Thanks for that information Frank. That’s the U.S. government bending over backward for people who are parasites on this country. I was born in 1947. Graduated from high school in 1965. I ended up being a divorced, mother of two sons in 1979, worked a full-time job, and went to college full-time at night. Paid my own way. Never asked for a hand-out from anyone. I have never owned a home in my life. Couldn’t afford a home when my kids were young. By the time I could, I had no need for a house. Was finally able to purchase my first, brand new car when I was 36. Thankfully my parents taught me how to be self-sufficient, independent, and never be a burden on anyone else.
” The U.S. has laws that incentivize illegal immigration, have you thought about that? “
Why yes. So does that excuse them in your mind?
The fact that they get free schooling, ethnic preferences as a “Protected Class”, first in line for college admission as “First Generation”, mandated “services” in their language necessitating all customer contact workers to be fluent and thus are usually their people, etc etc ad infinitum is not something that the Americans willingly extended. Virtually all of it was forced by a court decision or an EO.
Which is why ALL of it should be repealed.
Recall that Prop 187 was passed overwhelmingly by the Americans of California. ONE judge overruled parts of that law, and then Gray Davis killed it by going thru arbitration, rather then appealing it as he swore to.
So NONE of what is happening now is “the will of the people” unless you include all of South and Central America as “the people”.
Welfare is administered by the states and in many states it is illegal to ask immigration status.
Let's just say that it's true.
Pregnant Mamacita illegally crosses the border and immediately births little Pablo.
He truly is a miracle.
An anchor baby, that is eligible for all of the benefits handed out by Uncle Sugar.
A home, utilities, food stamps, WIC, health care.
All Pablo's siblings live in his house, go to school, where they get free food, a translator for their obscure Mayan dialect and a tutor, since they've never been to school.
Mama and Papa work under the table.
Get sick?
Go to the ER and ignore the bill.
I could go on, but you get the picture.
The real question is what benefits do they not get?
New immigrants or illegal aliens?
