Left-wing activists in Colorado said they have gathered enough signatures to place abortion on the ballot in November.
“Coloradans for Protecting Reproductive Freedom said its volunteers gathered more than 225,000 signatures and met the district requirements, as well,” CBS News reported.
In order to successfully place a measure on the ballot, petitioners must gather 124,238 signatures from voters, which must include 2 percent of total registered voters in each of Colorado’s 35 Senate districts, according to the secretary of state’s office. The measure would need the support of 55 percent of voters to pass.

So ... the Arizona Supreme Court apparently has held that an 1864 statue supersedes a statute on precisely the same issue passed less than two years ago.
This is an odd result. What is the composition of the Arizona Supreme Court?

Current TV ads from the multimillion dollar budget show the “hero” Biden replacing the scratchy pictures of the “villain” Trump who caused the SCOTUS to end Roe.

They are going to win Colorado anyway. Unless they have a senator’s race or a couple of close House races I don’t see this mattering much. Unless it motivates our side to come out in droves and it thrown the pres. race our way.

i seriously doubt most of the signature gatherers were “volunteers” ... unfortunately, colorado allows paid signature gatherers, and that’s how most initiated items end up on our ballots ...

My family has been in Colorado since the 1880’s. Few of them are Republicans any more. They all used to be.
I’m sure they’re scrutinize every single signature, right?
