Maybe the African Methodists will kick out the non-Christian American congregations.
The “traditionalists” (Conservatives) outside the U.S. among the United Methodist Church outnumber the “Liberals” outside the U.S. in the United Methodist Church. Africa is not alone in that regard. The schism is being felt in the UMC globally.
Someone tell me where I’m wrong. If the American UMC has shrunk by 1/4 because of conservatives leaving, doesn’t that REDUCE their influence in the worldwide UMC?
