Israel doesn’t usually advertise its intentions...unless it serves a purpose. Agreed. I'm wondering if Israel asked Iraq and Jordan if they could use their airspace to keep from having to attack Iran from one narrow point from the gulf. Perhaps Israel thought that the process of asking other countries for airspace use will wind up being leaked out anyway, so Israel might as well telegraph the message in a way that sounds better than someone else announcing it.
