Unlike WW1 before that, and Franco-Prussian war before that, Germany for once had war brought to THEIR land and kill a lot of THEIR people. Next thing you know, THEIR people quit allowing THEIR leaders stir them up for yet another war. IMHO that's why Germany quit starting wars.
Iran hasn't had that educational experience.
Once the Germans were all warlike and mean
But that couldn't happen again
We taught them a lesson in 1918
And they've hardly bothered us since then.

America has had several opportunities to support the Iranian people when they were mounting challenges to the Mullahs and we refused to do so. One memorable one was under Obama IIRC.
Instead of killing civilians, given that the Mullahs won't care, I think we should weaken the Mullahs' hold on the people and encourage the people to kick the Mullahs out. One good way to weaken the Mullahs' hold on the Iranian people is for Israel to attack the Mullahs directly.
As an aside, Israel has many spies among the Iranian population.
Well, the war of 1870 was declared by France, which didn’t want a competitor in mainland Europe, and the ones of 1864 and 1866 were caused by tensions with Denmark and Austria, respectively.
WW 1 was caused by many factors, and all peace offers by the Central powers were roundly rejected by the Entente. Greed conquers all.
And please don‘t mention that propaganda canard of Germany being founded in 1870. Be so kind.
She was founded in 962 with the coronation of Otto I., the first German emperor, after his victory over the Magyar invaders, no matter what the skillful, but false propaganda of (presumably) the World War eras has been telling you.
History is written by the victors, after all. Always has been, always will be. Amen.
