It's hard to tell how things will play out when so much of the public gets its information from the mainstream media. If the judge refuses to let Trump attend his son's graduation and Trump goes anyway, does the judge send him to jail for that? How would that play with the public?

The trial could still be going on during the Republican National Convention. Maybe the RNC can time it so that Trump's acceptance speech is on a weekend...but maybe the judge by then will have issued an order forbidding Trump from leaving Manhattan (New York County).

After the jury finds Trump guilty of 34 felonies, before the election, the Democrats may figure that that is enough to damage Trump, and it would be risky to order him to prison before he can appeal the verdict.
