Johnson is acting no differently that Jeffries would be acting. Spending money will pass.

What he should do if he wants to spend X on Ukraine is tie it to a border bill that will shut the border and force ICE to deport all illegal border crossers in less than 30 days.

I thought speaker Johnson was smarter than this. Even if the Ukraine and Israel bills were separated, I believe there is enough votes to pass both bills even though I suspect more Republicans will vote for Israel bill than would vote for the Ukraine bill.

piss poor article from Breitbart.. who’s side are they on??
.
its the rules committee vote that matters to decide if it gets a floor vote. Uke aid will pass bigly unless the floor vote can be stopped.
.
The Rules Committee is heavily tilted to favor the party in power. The current breakdown is nine Republicans to four Democrats. But the three conservatives on the committee, Reps. Thomas Massie (R-KY), Ralph Norman (R-SC), and Chip Roy (R-TX), can block a rule if banding together. >> so conservatives could block the floor vote if all dems vote same...to me this is too risky.
.
If true that speaker Johnson is calling for a Uke aid vote, then there’s no choice but to vacate the chair.
I hope and pray that the votes to do so will be there.
I just wrote to my rep..all have same email format
write to yours if u feel like it!
.
(first).(last)@mail.house.gov
example - jane.doe@mail.house.gov
.
my email ended with God Bless the patriots who caused RINO McCarthy to leave.
