Each side has an unlimited number of challenges for cause, which requires “good cause” to dismiss the juror, such as a personal relationship with the judge, an attorney, prosecutor, defendant, or witness; objective bias; disability, etc.
After the Trump team uses up its 3 "Preemptory" strikes. the remaining 17 have to be founded on "good cause" (see above) And guess who gets to determine that.
