Senate Democrats voted unanimously to shut down the Senate trial of President Joe Biden’s impeached homeland security chief Alejandro Mayorkas.

The first vote of 51 Democrats to 48 Republicans, with one non-voting Republican senator, was reported at 3:18 p.m. on Wednesday.

The vote, initiated by Majority Leader Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY), declared that the first article of impeachment was “unconstitutional” because the charges against Mayorkas did not rise to the impeachable level of “high crimes.”

Good for them. This is what Repubs should have done with BOTH Trump impeachments. But no, McConnell let the crap drag on for several months.

You mean none of their leaders work for the other side? How can that be?

Republicans can’t find anyone that’s not devoted to Joe Biden for life.

But our useless Dem-in-a-RINO-Jersey douchebag McConnell that and impeachment for President Trump had to go forward, it was the precedent of the Senate? I do. Now the jag-bag says it doesn’t matter for my Myorkis.

It must be wonderful to be a democrat and be allowed to piss on everything that’s ever made America stand out from the rest.

“declared that the first article of impeachment was “unconstitutional” because the charges against Mayorkas did not rise to the impeachable level of “high crimes.” “

That should have been an outcome of the trial, not a predicate for its conduct.

"Mayorkas has repeatedly explained that he supports more migration because of his migrant parents, his sympathy for migrants, and his support for “equity” between Americans and foreigners."

He's saying that all of actions are done for his own benefit as well as the criminal organization he belongs to.

Republicans should remove Mitch McConnell from leadership immediately. He's no match for the ruthlessness of Chuck Schumer.

Not one honest democrat in the senate.
Elections matter, especially when stolen.

Full blown Communists. They just shut down the Constitutional authority and rights of the house. And in turn the Constitutional representation of the people.

May as well just send them all home. They have been rendered useless and powerless.

Article 1 sec.6 of the Constitution gives the Senate the power to try all impeachments. Not dismiss without trial.

The House holds hearings, and votes to present evidence to the Senate for a trial.

If there is evidence, a trial is required, not dismissed by the Senate out of hand.

Every Democrat who voted to not impeach should be called out in their home district as most everyone opposes the invasion by illegal aliens big-time. Broadcast their opposition to closing the border far and wide!!!

Make it big deal.

Exactly right. Now lets see what SCOTUS rules when they are in the hot seat. If they rule this is Constitutional in any way at all they are part of the treasonous conspiracy against the people.

Senators don’t have districts, they’re elected on a statewide vote.
