I thought it was up to the Supreme Court and ONLY the Supreme Court to render something unconstitutional.

Congress should ask SCOTUS for an emergency ruling on this.

The singular and only role the Supreme Court has in impeachments is for the Chief Justice to preside over the Senate trial. That’s it.
