That's total BS.
It’s really not. The Eastern half of Ukraine was always friendly to Russia. They joined a civil war on one side. I throw out “half” loosely, that’s true but my main point remains. The Russians have legitimate support inside of Ukraine and among those in the East who remain is probably approaching total support. If Russia left tomorrow the Ukrainians in the East would keep fighting. Zelensky doesn’t have the support of Russian speaking Ukrainians and since they decided voting is no longer a prerequisite for Democracy it’s difficult to know how much support he actually has anywhere in the country.
