I think Israel’s complete and utter destruction of Gaza has proven two things.
1. They don’t really need the US to flex their military muscle.
2. Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran have ALL proven to be incapable of mounting any sort of retaliatory response. The other Arab nations don’t really care about Gazans, either. Not even those on the West Bank.
End result, whoever is in charge of Israel will continue to do whatever they want, be that good, or bad.

Who do you think immediately began sending an endless supply of ordnance, including all those bunker busters, for the Gaza invasion?
And who do you think shot down many of those missiles and drones last weekend?
