Pennsylvania Dem Rep. Kevin Boyle on the lam — and still voting — after violating abuse order

A Pennsylvania Democrat providing a critical vote for his party in the state House is on the lam after allegedly violating a protective order related to abuse, authorities told The Post.

Philadelphia police issued a warrant for state Rep. Kevin Boyle on Tuesday after the 44-year-old Democrat, who has struggled with mental health issues but is still on the ballot for a primary election next week, broke the Protection From Abuse Order, a department spokeswoman confirmed Wednesday afternoon.

Democrats control the Pennsylvania House of Representatives by a razor-thin 102-101 majority, meaning his votes in absentia allow the party to pass legislation for the time being.

Unfamiliar with PA state constitution. But it could be a separation of powers issue. The judicial branch (or executive branch) interfering in the workings of the legislative branch.

GENERAL OPERATING RULES
OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
Rule 64: MEMBERS REQUIRED TO BE PRESENT AND VOTE

Except as otherwise provided for in the Rules of the House, no member shall be permitted to vote and have
their vote recorded on the roll unless present in the Hall of the House during the roll call vote, except that a
member may provide direction for their vote if the member is in the vicinity of the Hall of the House in the
Capitol Complex attending to the member’s immediate personal need

What? He's not there? Then his vote doesn't count.
