Exclusive – Byron Donalds: ‘Incredibly Disappointing’ Johnson Violated Hastert Rule on Passage of Ukraine Aid
Breitbart ^ | 04/20/2024 | Nick Gilbertson

WASHINGTON, DC–Reps. Byron Donalds (R-FL) and Chip Roy (R-TX) slammed Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) for violating the Hastert Rule after the $60 billion Ukraine aid bill passed on Saturday without a majority of Republican support.

The longstanding rule directs that a Republican speaker will only put legislation up for a floor vote if a majority of the GOP conference supports it. The rule is meant to prevent a GOP speaker from colluding with Democrats to pass bills. But most of the GOP did not back the Ukraine bill.

I wish we would not have a rule named after a pedo like Dennis Hastert.

But honestly, I don’t think most people care about Ukraine one way or the other. It’s foreign policy so it’s boring to most Americans.

There’s nothing anyone can ever do to make Americans care about foreign policy except for drafting them into a war. Which I’m sure John Bolton would absolutely love.

Hopefully he charged enough to secure his future when he gets past his sell by date.

I do like my new neighbors, a very nice couple from Ukraine. But other than that, I really don’t give a flying fig about Ukraine.

Rising prices here and an open border with millions of illegals pouring through are exactly what I care about, proud to be in the vast majority.

I thought the Hastert Rule was that each of his cellmates had to sleep on the bottom bunk.

This was a disaster

All it does is maintain the status quo and prolong the death and destruction in Ukraine.

I also hear that 9 billion is headed for Gaza

Totally friggin’ irrelevant.

154 Republicans voted for the rule that put the bill on the floor, and a large portion think they could put it on the floor...allowing Democrats to pass it...while they themselves vote against the bill.

And they think that makes them clean. And they will run ads saying they voted against the bill...schilling for your vote. And they stupid amongst you WILL vote for them.

It’s ALL of the Republicans that voted for the rule that are our enemies.

Kept woman is a good description of that wuss, but I’d use a more vulgar term . How much did he and the rest of them charge?˙

The Capital should be lit with red lights.

The same Deep State embeds that controlled what Twitter / Facebook / Google did are now working with the media to make sure only right wing sites carry anything remotely critical of Johnson.

They have big plans for their boy.

Johnson gave aid and comfort to the domestic and foreign enemies of the United States of America. The Constitution has a word for that.

These past few days after Johnson backstabbed his base with the FISA crap and now this with the Ukraine $61 billion to a nation who we are funding and the DC swamp pocketing the money it infuriates me to no end! Get used to it folks because we have just lost our freedom. We have no say so. We have no voice they Have their boots on our necks and there ain’t chit we can do about it. Mark the day the bastards voted on these two monstrosities as the day we lost our freedom. My heart grieves for my nation and my grandchildren. And the bad thing about all of this is they’re doing it right in front of our faces , they’re deliberately spitting in all faces. They don’t even try to hide it anymore. Just look at what the judicial branch is doing to trump…OUR NATION IS COLLAPSING all around us. Their blatant unlawful criminal actions will get even worse on election day. I know people here call me a Debbie downer but I do bring a lot of truth and one truth is they’re going to steal the election again from Trump. Poll numbers mean diddly squat it’s who counts the votes! And there ain’t chit we can do about it. This is how democracy ends. 😢

It makes you wonder what perks the Left is giving Johnson and his family. You know there’s something that they’re doing for him or his family personally. That’s how this works.

According to the FR Republican Party boot lickers we can’t live without Johnson and the rest of his band of liberal establishment cronies. Why the Democrats could gain control and pass all the bills they want, oh wait that’s happening already.

To these I quote Samuel Adams who dealt with the likes of these people in his day:

“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.”
