The already insane cost of purchasing a home has hit a new high, thanks to the ongoing horror show that is Bidenomics.
Fox News:
Findings from Redfin show the combination of steep mortgage rates and elevated home prices has pushed the median monthly housing payment to a record $2,775 – an 11% increase from the same time last year.
…
There are a number of driving forces behind the affordability crisis. Years of underbuilding fueled a shortage of homes in the country, a problem that was later exacerbated by the rapid rise in mortgage rates and expensive construction materials.
And let’s not forget another “driving force”: Joe Biden opening up our southern border to millions and millions of illegal immigrants who directly compete with citizens and legal immigrants for housing.

I am starting to see a pattern here.
I thought Queen Oprah ordered those unsightly cretins to be removed from her property months ago. /s
$61 Billion for Uke-land the MIC, though, so you got to be gushing about that!
You can’t manufacture an electric vehicle without plastic......kinda defeats the purpose dontcha think? 🤔
The 10 million refugees invading our southern border are sure gonna help the housing crisis. I guess Biden figures stuffing this country with more Dem voters takes precedence over the housing crisis.
Yesterday my wife informed me that a former hairdresser who moved to Florida with his ‘partner’ is coming back to Missouri. The reason? His ‘partner’ who works for FEMA is going to Maui for fifteen months to ‘help’. I doubt if he’ll be living in a tent on the beach.
Good for Florida 👍👏
If your neighborhood almost burned down because of a fire hazard, wouldn’t you and your neighbors do something about it? Lahaina almost got burned down 5 years ago, the upland grass fields were a known problem. Did the residents of Lahaina do anything about it? Nope. The people living on the beach don’t want to improve their situation, and are sticking their head in the sand. They want Lahaina rebuilt promptly ( thats not going to happen) and they want the government to seize the Airbnb rentals and give it to them. Thats unconstitutional. Many of them are unemployed waiting for the handout. The smarter ones left for another island or the mainland. At this point, my sympathy has gone. They can easily move to Vegas which has a large Hawaiian community, get a service job and move on with their life, knowing its going to take at least 15 years to rebuild. The rebuild is going to be homes for the wealthy. And thats what happens when you vote D for the whole life of the state, and since the politicians know their vote is guaranteed, they don’t do anything.
ALMOST everything in a normal household has plastic packaging.
It’s insane.
The neighbor just put their house on the market for a little less than $850,000. Their Zillow “Zestimate” was in the $790,000s just prior to listing, but jumped to over $885,000 within two days of going on the market [!!!WTF?]. Zillow says their valuation is based on n’hood comparables.
REALTOR.com shows “values” from 3 different online valuation companies, and they’re showing:
-April 2024
-Valuation provider - Estimate
-Collateral Analytics - $792,678
-CoreLogic® - $758,000 (March)
-Quantarium - $813,992
Not even Zillow or the REALTOR guesstimators can figure it out.
Get a fixed rate mortgage and refinance it when rates go down...

There are 1.5 million realtors in the US. Are they going to be Biden voters this time?
Hopefully not...especially after FedGov is coming after the “standard” 6% commission. But then, didn’t the NAR just open a new headquarters in DC so they could be closer to the government teat?
btt
Rates will remain above 5% for at least another 20 years.
