Not one conservative of prominence truly believes, “Abortion is murder.” That’s all big mouth talk.

Women are nothing more than baby machines in Gaza, with no rights. Israel still has work to go to be that nation that they are supposed to be.
Either place’s laws on abortion have nothing to do with a massacre of music patrons following mass rape and torture and accompanied by mass hostage taking. Which ever side does that is WRONG. Just because I think Israel has a right to attack the threat, doesn’t mean that I am okay with them being pro-abort, any more than I like her general socialist system. If Hamas decided to seize abortionists instead of innocent women and children the argument might make more sense.
Lastly, do not dump all conservatives into the same basket.

Today was Hirohito’s 123rd birthday, which is still a holiday in Japan. When I think of Hirohito I think of the Rape of Nanking, a few million Chinese raped and killed over years, Pearl Harbor, the Bataan death march and the rape and murder in the Philippines, the mass suicides in Okinawa, the kamikaze suicide bombers. If I have to choose between Hirohito and Truman with two atomic bombs, I’m choosing Truman, because atomic bombs are bad but Asian genocide is worse.

Quite eye opening. Absolutism on abortion, tying all politics to abortion above all else, is how Republicans lose.
In politics, those who are willing to lose with honor, meaning keeping their honor intact, are usually self-satisfied when their side loses.
He is right that there are restrictions, needing your husband's permission is a restriction, but that is different from a ban.
I guess like most he buys into the propaganda that mohamidians are against abortion when that is not quite the case. There is a wide range of teaching from totally unacceptable (very rare) to partial birth abortions being perfectly ok (more places then you think). Mostly it hits at before twenty weeks and with the father's permission. Or even at the father's insistence.
