IMHO, MOST “protests” are the lowest possible use of free speech. They do not change minds, or present intelligent facts or arguments. The purpose is not to convince or enlighten, but to stir up emotions and physically
intimidate via the thinly veiled threat of mob violence. The opinions of individuals are stripped of all nuance, and subsumed into crude slogans. Yet I still think individuals have a right to voice their idiotic, ignorant opinions non-violently and within groups.
