Gracey,
Boy, did you have a busy day yesterday, or what.
We all know the NEA is destroying our schools and children. Now this. I can't believe it.
Regards, Eric

REF your post #17....
I stand behind my Post #27
Your attempt to convince me that one who makes decisions in life based on "personal beliefs" is synonymous with those who make decisions in life based on "Christian Beliefs" or Biblical Principles...
The personal beliefs are subject to being "wrong" whereas Biblical Principles are NEVER WRONG.. and apply whether or not your "personal beliefs" are consistent with "Biblical Principles"...
Is this not an accurate rebuttal to your post #17???

The Gablers are still around. As far as I know they won't be at the hearings. I know their reserach and activism has involved evolution in textbooks for the most part.

Sincerely hope your eye problems improve. If you do feel like it we can certainly use the support in Austin. Thanks COB1

Thanks, Liberty Lady.
I've got another appointment in a little while.
If I can see to make the trip, I'll be there.
I wish I could shout from the rooftop of America about how vitally important this issue is to the future welfare of our nation and our children.
Thanks for bringing this to light!

What about this for a central theme? No US Dollars for UN Texbooks!!! Any other ideas?

While the focus is on textbooks we must not forget that "Cyber"texts are out there too. Parents can review printed texts for content but the goal of the "reformers" has been to reach the point where no one can come between the student and the "computer".

"I picked a quote from the text and challenged it to the poster." Give us a break!
Your "challenge" amounted to equating the value of our unborn children with that of wild animals. There is no similarity there. It's not an emotional issue, it is a spiritual issue. Annimals are here for our use, not for pagan worship, and our unborn children are not to be used by the Josef Mengeles of this world.
It is very telling that you consider facts to be insults; thank you for exposing yourself for the God-hating fool that you are.

Re: #165....That's an important link. Here's another. Many, many articles on Agenda 21, Education in the public indoctrination camps, School-to-work (Workforce Investment), and Loss of our God-given freedoms in general:

Right on codder too. For your reading enjoyment the following link is a web link resourse in on of the textbooks. These links take you to web sites that espouse everything from giving up our land for the poor animals to activating students to take political stands.
Now, I ask you, what intuitive suggestions could a grade schooler give to elected officials. The answer is simple - none - other than what they are taught and what they are taught is socialism cloaked in the green mantle of environmentalism.

I agree with your response. The problem with arranging all of us to get our communities in order, is that the majority of us who have a clue, are working our collective butts off.
That's a cop-out however. We need to have truth in advertising, and also we need to make sure our communities are filled with people who have the same values that made this country great.

Agenda 21 involves ALL states folks. Because you are not in Texas does not make you immune to this threat. Call YOUR Congressmen and tell them you don't want this trash in your state.
TEXAS Freepers - please call you elected officials! Hearings are tomorrow and the SBOE will vote in early November. Let's keep the pressure on!

Thanks for the bump. I have been away for awhile and am just now catching up.
While it is important to be aware of textbooks, it is also good to be familiar with other materials used. There are many teachers who do not use textbooks in classes, but the other materials are just as bad and are geared to the UN agenda as well.
Along with speaking out against such biased and ridiculous textbooks, those interested might also consider checking with classroom teachers and working to influence central committees who make the final decision on textbook selections for the districts and even for each school. The scarry thing is that it might be possible to stop bad textbooks from being adopted and still end up with UN agenda thru other materials used in the classroom. Safest bet is to homeschool, and if that can't be done, then read your child's books with them and counter the nonsense as you come across it.
