No.

Or will this be the perfect cover for those who would destroy what remains of our personal freedom as Americans? Out of of fear, will the sheeple cry for even more restraints on our liberty than have already been exacted, and welcome tyranny with open arms?

Regrettably, yes. The sheeple will choose safety (or the illusion thereof) over freedom - they've been conditioned to behave this way, and the conditioning has had an effect as seen in far less grim circumstances over the years.

I hope and pray that I'm wrong, but I fear not. G-d save our Republic.

My father believes the same - but his scenario is further control of the sheeple. I remain hopeful that patriots will unite and even "rats" will begin to put our country first. Osama Bin Ladin may have helped execute - but "thinking China" is indeed astute. Where did all the $$$$$$$$$$$ come from? I was on my way to Seattle early this morning, then got smart and came back home. Big city centers are not safe right now. May God protect us.

You cannot have an Empire and a Republic at the same time. Reduce the power of the central government, cut the military budget, reduce the number of military and bases in the foreign countries.

The sheeple would do well to be REMINDED that our Constitution is the sole reason why we are going to remain a formidable foe to the enemies. If Americans are stripped of their rights and liberties, Americans will be easy pickings for the terrorists. Does ANYONE actually believe that cessation of rights/liberties/laws will STOP them?

There is a certain JBT on this thread that is advocating the revocation of our rights. May he meet up with what he advocates.

These terrorists are probably not finished. Our loss of liberties will NOT make them go away or change their minds.
