Unaccounted for UAL Flight Thread (Has Apparently Crashed, but Not Told Where)

This concerns United Flight 175, a Boeing 767, which was bound from Boston to Los Angeles.

WLW is reporting that the plane has crashed, but no ID as to where. Also, Palestinian cowards are apparently in the streets celebrating the "success" of the attacks.

If this is true, I suppose it was shot down. There will be no more crashes in populated areas. Be sure of that. I just pray for the piolet that had to pull the trigger....

ABC just reported NORAD on highest state of alert. Apparently a precaution not directly related to the Delta and Charlie alerts for the rest of the domestic military which has more to do with the state of alert against terrorism.

Bush's airplane has landed at Barksdale(?) AFB in Louisiana. Local radio news out of New Orleans. Plane is in the Shreveport Louisiana area. Isn't this the base that the B-52's left from to bomb Iraq in 1990/1?

Bush just issued a statement that we will hunt down those responsible from Barksdale air force base, Lousiana. Apparently, he's based there temporarily.

Jennings is demanding that he appear to make a speech. Jennings is not going into media circus mode. The media din is rising. Jennings just demanded again that Bush appear, saying that some presidents don't do too well at reassuring the country during crisis. What a surprise that Jennings expresses his doubts that Bush will make a newsworthy speech so that Jennings use it in his circus act.

President Bush's key statement: "Freedom has been attacked and freedom will be defended." The lady reporter said his eyes were very grim.

ABC's reporter with Bush in Barksdale just cut off her statements on the air with Jennings, saying they're being scrambled out of Barksdale due to concerns with Bush's security. Jennings managed not to again demand Bush face the cameras.

As of 1PM EDT, UAL is telling us that 175 crashed but isn't saying where.

Fox News just said that the plane that crashed outside Pittsburg was in fact targeting Camp David. No more details now.
