Our local news channel, WOODTV, has just reported that several school districts are closing schools early, mainly due to parents coming to school and taking their children home. The terrorist attacks across the US have shakened many, many parents. Many other school related activites have been cancelled for the day, as well as after school activites this evening.

Welcome to life in Israel. But of course, when someone tries to blow you up, the only permissable response is to try and "understand them" and "work for a common ground." Tell that to the 20,000 people buried alive today in the World Trade Center.

I just got my call. We are in a small rural district in North East Texas. They are releasing at 1 PM.
I don't think this is done out of concern for safety, but because the children are frightened. My 12 year old sounded calm, but really concerened.
Vocal TV is scrolling list: Tyler churches, colleges, others are cancelling evening events.
