My guess is that proficiency was acquired in a stateside flight simulator facility, offering airliner models with high-level graphics capability, with the WTC & the Pentagon in the visual data-base

Why a stateside simulator as opposed to one that was overseas?

BTW, I'd be interested in your opinion about the level of sophistication required for the attack. Some here claim it could be carried off with a group of "sixteen smart guys." From what I have heard, the level of precision involved and the targets chosen strongly indicate that this may be more the simple terrorism.

My guess is that the greatest sophistication was in keeping the pilot's skills up to the needed proficiency and the timing.

Complexity kills operations such as this, so I'm more inclined to think it was the 'dirty dozen,' with a fair amount of money behind them.

In other words, simple-is-best.

The FAA track record on airport security is a joke. I suspect the security penetration was easy. I doubt there were any 'inside workers.'

Many people are ignorant as to the thousands of Muslims that the CIA brought into the U.S. as a reward for supporting operations overseas.

The Muslim devotion to Islam far exceeds any other loyalty. While Americans are pandered the equality issue, tribalism will always rule the planet. Thus, you find the likes of Jesse Jackson with a license to practice racism.

With some good propaganda, the terrorists prostitute Islam to produce the tribalism we saw today. I think they took a lesson from the Crusades.
