Dear President Bush,
There is unprecedented anger today amongst the American public. We all await your decision on what retaliatory measures the United States of America will make to this cowardly affront.
So many deaths are touching enormous branches of family trees worldwide. We the friends, families, and lovers of those who have perished demand much more than the usual pusillanimous diplomatic-speak and ‘measured response’s that have to date been wholly unsuccessful in deterring these animals from their worldwide murderous rampage.
For decades, we have watched as bomb after bomb has killed and maimed innocent men, women and children. We have seen our freedoms, and sense of personal security eroded as fear—and lack of confidence in our government to protect the citizens--grows.
We now know that terrorists of Arabic descent are responsible for the deaths of tens of thousands of innocent human beings. We watch with disgust as the pictures stream back from the Middle East showing sympathizers of these animals celebrating in the streets—while handing out cakes and candy—the deaths of so many good people who never had anything to do with whatever twisted ideology they espouse to hate.
President Bush; the anger is real and it is palpable. We demand an overwhelming response, delivering a crushing blow to all those who condone and support terrorist activities worldwide. It is time to wipe the smirks off the faces of those animals once and for all. We demand the use of force such that the world has never seen—to eradicate all those who would gladly kill our children and our children’s children.
Do not speak of ‘negotiating’ for extraction of a few token terrorists—only to be slowly brought to trial whilst defended by loathsome lawyers. These people do not deserve the justice of the court system. That right was waived by their wanton disregard for our citizen’s lives and their rights to self-defense.
Do not think a few cruise missiles targeted at a remote desert encampment will satisfy the need for revenge that exists.
It is time to coordinate worldwide attacks with our fellow civilized countries to declare war on terrorists wherever they currently exist. No weapon—military or civil--should be ruled out in eradicating those who either perpetrate, harbor, or support terrorism.
We demand that you immediately deport all those with suspected ties to terrorist groups—of whatever particular nationality or race they may be. We demand that you immediately freeze the assets of any country or individual who sponsor terrorists. We demand that you make war in such a way as to eliminate as many of these evil thugs from this planet as is humanly possible. We demand that you set a principled example of deterrence as to what terrible things will happen to any and all future animals that consider terrorism as a tactic
Mr. President, the anger is overwhelming—and we all await an outlet for release. If you fail to deliver an appropriate response--then the pent up anger will avert itself to the only natural outlet remaining…and that sir, is you.
