God bless these heroes, and may He comfort their families. I'd nominate these men for the Medal of Honor. They saved the White House or the Capitol from being destroyed.

I dont know if civilians can get the Medal, but these ought to, since they were defending their nation against an act of war, and fulfilled the Medal's requirements in every way imaginable. Their courage and refusal to quit, is the only solace I have been able to take from yesterday's events.

civilians can get the "Congressional Service Award" or something...my friend got one...but for something this major, there might be a "higher up" recognition.
