That is such bull about women not being "second class citizens" in Islam. Consider the source: Harvard. Expect tons of liberal/academic pinhead bull manure to get dumped on the airwaves/Internet. The point is, fundamentalist Islam does not give women a *choice.* While Muslim women who live in the US are protected in their freedoms by our constitution may wear veils or not, the point is that the more "fundamentalist" strains of Islam will try to *force* them into wearing veils, being subordinate to men, etc. In *every* society where Islam is dominant, and where Islam is the basis for the governance of the state, women and "unbelievers" are oppressed. I challenge anyone to name ONE where this is not the case.
