This is beautiful. I have tears in my eyes right now. You have captured the heart and soul of this American President and his faith in God to guide him. With President Bush as our Commander-in-Chief, this Nation is in good hands!
Thank you!

This is the most touching account of the events of this week....thanks for putting into eloquent words what so many have recently realized.
And Thanks be to God that He gave us a man of faith for our President in these perilous times.
With your permission I'd like to share your essay with my friends.

A marvelous piece of writing and inspirational. Thanks for sharing your gift of expression and observation, and most of all, your heart. In that department, I feel inadequate in my expression, and look to folks like yourself to fill the void.

Sorry to burst everyone's bubble of praise, but he NEVER said 'Jesus' during the debates. I watched it very close. He DID say "...accepting Christ...as my personal Savior...", but he never said "Jesus".
Now I am FULLY aware this is going to get me Flamed beyond belief....but I have have stated something that is true.
The Bible says "...at the name of JESUS every knee shall bow..." And George Bush did not say "Jesus" during the debates. I did hear him say it in interviews both prior and after. I DO believe he is a man of God, but I WAS disappointed during the debates to hear him use a generic term for Jesus. I'm sure it was difficult for him to NOT say 'Jesus', but I'm also pretty sure that his advisors TOLD HIM not to.
Flame away, but I WATCHED the debates CLOSELY to see if he was the kind of christian I expect him to be.
I am saddened by the fact that Mr. Bush has to deal with this tragedy. (But then again, we all are.) But if there is any consolation, it is this : We don't have Al Gore responding by murdering and twisting Biblical quotes like he has in the past.
Haven't you noticed that when GEorge W. quotes the Bible, he does it from MEMORY? (and not from a tele-prompter)

Well - this brought on my first crying spell of this new day. (I've had many, many crying spells since Tuesday--actually, almost every day since my oldest son went off to college 2 weeks ago - but that's another story)
Thank you so much - beautiful!!
