And I guess I come at it from a different angle. If people want my food, I will share it. I'm one who doesn't have guns around and I won't have them in my storage.

This is the way I am treating the matter, but I do understand and support others who keep guns and ammunition. To each their own. :)

Certainly I understand your position, however, you must remember that not all the world shares your kindness. There are people in the world who will not share, but who will take it via force. If you are prepared to show an equal force, you might get to keep what you worked hard to store.

This is not to say that you would be threatened by your friends and neighbors, but not everyone who would take your stuff is a friend or neighbor. Respectfully, lack of a Salvadorans plan is not very intelligent. Rethink your position.

Regards.

When the emergency strikes, a neighborhood meeting should be easy to arrange. A neighborhood would be a lot easier to defend than a single home. Those who want to leave will leave, and those who want to stay would be somewhat prepared.
