On another post here, there is this statement: "the best part of this trip was my discussion with my friend who is, alas, a Democrat. She asked me why America didn't retaliate after the first World Trade Center bombing or after the SS Cole. I said to her: "I have 2 words for you that you will not want to hear. Bill Clinton." She amazed me by saying, "you are right."

Surely, Americans are repulsed by the sight of Bill Clinton hanging out at the National Cathedral entrance like an ignored spoiled child looking for attention following the Memorial Service for victims of Tuesday's events, especially since his lack of leadership in foreign affairs, lack of effective energy policy, and lack of courageous leadership in dealing with terrorism were largely to blame. He is a man without shame, either for his personal sins or his betrayal of his country.

Other former Presidents departed with dignity, but he, just as he had done on Inauguration Day, just wouldn't leave, knowing that the foolish press cameras would stay on him.

How cheap and disgusting, in contrast with the calm dignity and demeanor of the current President of the United States who inspires confidence by being, not seeming.

Was his actions anything less than you expected? Did you expect him to leave quietly? I still am sickened by the sight of him. And the press was no better by fawning all over his every move. Gag me.
