"I wonder how he'd [Leon Redbone]do with I'm Proud to be an American?
I think he would start by changing the melody and the lyrics.

Probably. But I like the song anyway. It's like John Wayne movies. Corny, but fun. Theres a place for all things --- except Rap.

Yeah, but you kind of know going in that John Wayne is corny. You know that "True Grit", for example, is going to be schlock. But GBTUSA sneaks up on you masquerading as a real live song. Then when you listen- POW!- right in the kisser. You get hit with a corn cob! BTW, try listening to some K-7. Specially "Move Like This". Its rap but its darn good.

Then when you listen- POW!- right in the kisser. You get hit with a corn cob! Wouldn't that cover about 99% of Pop music in the last 50 years? Listen to most songs that make the charts, and Lee Greenwoods lyrics sound like Shakespeare.

I listen to Redbone for hours on end.
Then I have Tea and get my nails done. But the big question is how does he sit like that?? Legs 'folded' not crossed! I thought only women could do that?

I don't know. Musical tastes are a matter of individual opinion. As for me, I would rather have a Homer and Jethro's Greatest Hits CD than this one.

But the big question is how does he sit like that?? Legs 'folded' not crossed! I thought only women could do that? He's an 'artist'. They do all kinds of stupid s***.
