Few realize that the "Mass of Ages" was in very real danger of being completely and utterly supressed. Thanks to the efforts of the LMS, Agatha Christie, Evelyn Waugh et al. the Tridentine Mass (incorrectly name since it existed by and large in the same form for a thousand years prior to the Council of Trent) was preserved in small pockets.
Fortunately due to "Ecclesia Dei" the Latin Mass is growing and new orders and churches that are devoted to its preservation and expansion are growing by leaps and bounds.

of course, there is more than one Latin Mass -- you probably ought to specify that you mean the Tridentine Rite. The Novus Ordo works quite well in Latin also and is perfectly "kosher"
