My dear brother and sister FReepers,

At this, of all times in my lifetime, I would like nothing more than to be able to read these threads and reply to them. I have much I would like to say.

BUT, I cannot!

Why?

Because I am trying hard to raise the finances needed to keep FreeRepublic up and running so that we can continue to share valuable information and respond to it.

I would like to support Free Republic with another small gift (wish I could give more).

The reason I have hesitated is because I've gotten some of my comments and threads pulled a couple of times. It's not because of duplicate threads, but for content.

I find this disappointing. That's why I continue to hesitate with another gift. I'm not sure if I really understand the intentions of the moderators and their criteria used to decide when to use the delete key.

Before Islam, the Sabeans in Arabia worshipped the moon god who married the sun goddess who gave birth to three goddesses. They were called Al-lat, Al-uzza and Manat, and all later became idols. They were worshipped by the Arabs in that part of the world as "The Daughters of Allah." The moon god, Allah, was one of 360 idols worshipped in Mecca [thus the prominence of the Crescent Moon symbol in Islam]. In the 1950s two pre-Islamic moon god idols were found in the middle east with the crescent moon symbol on their chests. Mohammed wanted a new religion, on par with the success of Judaism and Christianity for him and his people. His tribe worshipped Allah above, but not in exclusion of, all of the other pagan deities. But Mohammed's strong war-like tribe were successful at spreading their "religion" by the edge of the sword all from the Middle East, to India, to North Africa, to Spain and the gates of Europe until stopped by Charlemagne. In later battles, Germans and Serbs also defeated their would be conquerors. Thank god they did.
