"Not so sure it was only trepidation about flying, there are MASSIVE layoffs in their immediate future." I know. I feel very sorry for airline employees. They don't deserve this sort of treatment. But believe me -- I felt there was a very palpable "fear of flying" in the faces of many passengers.

Great article in wash times about a pilot out of denver this week who gave a long talk to the passengers on what to do if a hijacking occurred!!! He told passengers to get up throw stuff, get blankets and take the guy on!! The passengers cheered. He said they couldn't guarantee no plastic knives on flight but could guarantee there were no bombs. He actually empowered the passengers. Go to washingtontimes.com and look it up.
