What reason would they (the Clinton gang) have for covering it up?

I will take a stab at that one.

(1) They didn't know how to prevent future incidents, so they didn't want to panic the American public without a plan in place.

(2) The terrorists were kind enough not to brag about their deeds so the opportunity was there.

(3) Government always chooses secrecy first if they think they can get away with it.

(4) Look at what has happened to the stock market and the economy since September 11. Do you think the Clintonoids wanted any part of that?

(5) They probably were assured by UN contacts and "friends" in the Arab world that this could be kept under control if everybody kept their cool--an angry American people would not be in accordance with that plan.

(6) They may have been blackmailed. Pick your poison--Clinton's sexual activities, Vince Foster's body being dragged into a park within sight of a Saudi resident's camera, Janet Reno's sexual activities, the "gay" horrors described in Aldrich's book. Other evidence for this theory is that Bin Ladin apparently had Air Force One codes. He must have had inside information. Since it is fairly unlikely that a militant Islam is hiding out in the national security establishment blackmail would seem to be the basis for gathering such information.

One more likely explanation:

Clinton's quest for a legacy included brokering a peace deal between Israel and Palestine. An act of terror on US soil by Islamic jihadis would have totally put the kibosh on any US involvement with urging Israeli concessions to Palestine. This was what I thought of while reading the piece.

I can't put this possibility past Clinton. I wonder if anyone else can.
