You make the best arguement for Ann.
My biggest complaint about the statement is that it is an emotional statement. It generates more heat than lite.
There are many good rational arguements for her overall arguement. This statement appeals only to emotion. I want arguements that rational, unemotional conservatives can use themselves. This ain't one.

Except for McVeigh, these are "serial" killers, not mass murderers. Take McVeigh out of the picture and lets look at who has been behind terror attacks (around the world) for the past 20 years.Even with McVeigh, these can be dealt with using typical policing methods. Even though some think McVeigh didn't act alone, there is no elaborate network that is crouching, waiting to commit another OKC. The militia movement is barely existing and there are no reports of militia-types celebrating over the 9/11 attacks.
The militant Islamic threat is different. It is supported by large groups of people, both overseas and the US, to varying degrees. It cannot be stopped by typical police methods. In fact, I don't think it will end with military action either, but significant inroads can be made to reducing the threat.

No name calling, here. But some people need to read more carefully. Yes you do. The distinction between a "mass murderer" and a serial killer is simple, if inelegant. A mass murderer does his work in big bunches, many at a time. The lowly serial killer offs one or a few at the time.
Of course, your quibble with Ann Coulter is bigger than that, isn't it?

Ok, we have Maher/liberal/libertarian(his claim) insists on at least one conservative panelist on each show, Larry King/liberal, many conservative guests. Rosie/who knows, who cares about her. What other liberal talk shows are there. On the other side, what conservative talk show hosts invite liberals? Rush/nope, Gallagher/nope, Reagan/nope, North/nope, Hamblin/nope, O'Reilly(?)/yes but doesn't let anyone conservative or liberal give thier side, he is too busy ranting about his own views. Not trying to be a smart ass here, I listen to most of them, just thinking out loud. Please enlighten.

On the other side, what conservative talk show hosts invite liberals? On Broadcast TV, The Mcglaughlin group. He has 2 Libs and 2 cons. One thing conservatives need to do is make the sponsers "reponsible" for the programming they support.
Conservatives have abandoned non cable programs partly because of the bias. Its easier to ignore the problem than to act upon it.
But if we totally abandon the playing field, the natural leftward leaning of the media will move further to the left.
Since we on the right do not own or control any of the networks, we have to use the power we have. Boycotts and contact drives are our best tools at this time. An organized group can be more effective than individuals.

Yep. So, instead of taking her dead on, you make up your own definition of "mass murderer" and flame Coulter for not knowing your definition? Clever.
To: quimby
Her term "mass murderers" is her specific description for the 9/11 terrorists. She's not referring to mass murderers et al. Kinda like how the term "filthy pigs" doesn't refer to all swine.

I can give more examples of American mass murderers. John Wayne Gacy, school shootings ( Columbine for example ), abortion clinic bombers, Houston mom who killed ker kids, security officer in Sacramento who shot ex co-workers, the guy who killed 7 co-workers in a Boston suburb, racial supremacists ( white and black ), a guy who killed 5 Univ of Fla students, the guy in Iowa who killed his girlfriend and her kids. There are many more examples

I can't imagine why you people are argueing about semantics here. Who care's if they are called mass murderers or serial killers? You cannot compare the proposed deportation of aliens to the internment of Japanese-Americans in World War 2! ANY alien within the United States is here at the invitation and pleasure of the United States Government! They have absolutely NO right to be here. Therefore they can be asked to leave at any time. I have no problem with putting national security ahead of political correctness. If you haven't figured it out yet, we're litterally fighting for our lives! It apparently still has not dawned on some of you that we are dealing with illogical people who think nothing of murdering people by the thousands. And you're just plain stupid if you think they are through with us. How many more will have to die before you get it?
