The U.S. + NATO + Japan + China + India should immediately form a consortium to occupy, operate and regulate the Gulf oil fields. There will be no recovery from poor economics and no end to terrorism as long as the Arabs control most of the world's oil.

I would add Russia and the rest of Europe to that list also. The Middle Eastern countries...all of them...have to be dismembered by the civilized world and carved up into new territories because they are all harbors of terrorism.

Re "nuke 'em" -- I agree -- there really is no alternative if we are to rid the world of this scourage once and for all. Innocent Afghani's are leaving their country in droves; while Pakistani Bin Laden lovers are rushing in to side with the Taliban. What could be better?
