Re cutting fingers off of women who wear nail polish, etc... My former neighbor, Iranian Muslim (but definitely NOT of the Bin Laden variety) complained that when she went back to see her parents in Iran she always had to dress in the traditional covered-up style AND she said she had been arrested and jailed several times just for daring to WEAR MASCARA out on the street.
