New Zealanders support the firefighters, too! In Nelson there is a campaign to get 100 rescue workers/fire fighters and their families to New Zealand for a free holiday. People are offering to open their homes to them, local councils are paying expenses, etc. New Zealand firefighters have also been running a collection to send to their American mates. Many Kiwis have contributed money to it. The firemen and policemen in New York are the most courageouds people in the world.

Thank You New Zealand, it's amazing how we all unite in a time of crisis. Yes, the NYPD and NYC firemen are indeed amongst the finest and the bravest in the world. To watch my friends take off and run into that building without one iota of regard for their own safety was ubelievable.
