klt, Cliff Kincaid sat in for Chuck Harder on his radio show two days this past week. For two hours each day all Cliff spoke about was this catastrophic intelligence failure and the Clinton's bin laden gate policy...I too was speechless...Kincaid took only a couple of calls toward the end of each days program.. during the shows he replayed audio news bits from Reed Irvine about this ...

So now its starting to make sense...everything..finally...that stupid attack against the Sudanese aspirin factory which Clinton said was producing chemicals...oh sure...

Labeviere argues that the Clinton administration viewed the bin Laden network and the radical Taliban regime in Afghan-istan as a bulwark against Russian, Iranian and even Chinese influence in Asia. He quotes a former CIA analyst as saying, "The policy of guiding the evolution of Islam and of helping them against our adversaries worked marvelously well in Afghanistan against the Red Army. The same doctrines can still be used to destabilize what remains of Russian power, and especially to counter the Chinese influence in Central Asia." It was believed that Sunni Islam could be used to undermine Russia in Chechnya and China in southern Xingjiang.

Doesn't sound like a very plausible explanation to me. Sounds more like an excuse by somebody who wants to avoid a scandal and to preserve his job and pension.

If bin Laden continued to be so tied in with the CIA -- as I have long suspected -- we have our explanation of why we would have bombed the aspirin factory in Khartoum at a time when the Sudanese were holding two bin Laden lieutenants on suspicion of being involved in the embassy bombings. Would also explain how somebody might have gotten the bin Laden folks to bomb those embassies at a time convenient to Bill Clinton, at the height of the Monica scandal in August '98.

This book by this Swiss guy sounds very plausible. I just ordered it on line.

The Clinton years are totally separate from any other administration. His goals, his tactics and his appointees were never for our protection or security. Anything he did cannot be compared in any way to other presidents.

Reagan and GHW Bush acted to insure regional stabilities and to guarantee the protection of our allies.

The quote you've used is childish and so broad as to be meaningless. And I don't understand your statement at all.

It's a shocking realization that's starting to become clear to more and more "just folks". Our government has been using major created events to serve political necessities. In the U.S. it MUST have started real recently, like with the Clinton administration, right?

Then there was The Maine. And Pearl Harbor. and...........

Dollars for Terror, a book by Swiss television journalist Richard Labeviere, claims that Mohamed trained Islamic militants in several camps in the New York area and suggests that he was an active U.S. agent. Labeviere, who conducted a four-year investigation and has written extensively on Arab and African affairs, has concluded that the international Islamic networks linked to bin Laden have been nurtured and encouraged by elements of the U.S. intelligence community, especially during the Clinton years. He says the international Islamic network was protected because it was designed to serve U.S. foreign policy and military interests.

This is definately a must read..I'll try calling a couple of bookstores...but I bet i'll have to order it online too..

Good points..What's also disturbing and unforgivable is that we had the intelligence information to stop this attack on the WTC and the Pentagon before it happened...We were told about Project Bojinka.. We should have been looking at our flight training schools for terrorists asking how to learn to fly 757 and 767 jets only while airborne...

And what is the government solution now? They want to expand the power of the federal government..they say they need more intelligence..yet they had all the intellingence they needed to stop this attack.. Nobody is fired...Nobody is held accountable.. This is unbelievable..unbelievable...

Amazing, truly amazing. You people will never let up, will you, until Clinton is dead and buried, and probably not even then. Whatever about his deeds or misdeeds, the whole of US foreign policy for at least the past generation has, tragically, been leading to this, from Reagan and Bush Senior's arming of the terrorists, to the latter's willingness to let Saddam off the hook, a case of better the devil you know... Whatever the details of the above scandal/paranoid fantasy, they've all been complicit in one way or another. As to the particular details of Clinton's response to terrorism, search deep, friends, think hard. Does anyone really believe that Bush Junior would have done anything significantly different than Clinton in 1998? It took an invasion of a sovereign nation to mobilise the US on a large scale in 1991, and in the wake of a massive attack on American soil, Clinton would be just as gung-ho as Bush is. As for the most proximate possible cause of the tragedy, one that doesn't need in-depth research/delusional detective work, look no further than the laxity of airport security, reforms for which several large corporations opposed, supported by their Republican lackeys. And if you need reasons to be fearful for the future, there's always Bush's walk out on the biological weapons treaty negotiations, which might have limited the spread of these weapons. So when you take a long hard look at the multiple actors involved in allowing this to happen, it takes a very particular breed of brutal opportunist to use the tragedy to whip Clinton yet again.

Read the one I just posted about the FAA Supervisor that failed at Logan so miserably they put her in charge of hiring Inspectors.

We're paying $35 BILLION/yr. for the intelligence? services. Some deal, huh?

This is unbelievable..unbelievable...

Incredibly.......unbelievable! The treason charges just keep mounting up against that vile hideous wad of puss. There also seem to be far more co-conspirators than I had previously imagined.

Do I need a full suit of tin-foil to think bint laden and 9/11 are a complete sham?

A wacko conspiracy theory has to be built on wild assumptions and bizarre logic. All you have to do with the above is connect the dots.

The points you make have some validity, except for one thing. What Clinton added was more than a mere straw that broke a camel's back, Clinton and his camp, were completely irresponsible and governed on the basis of appearances only. Clinton's legacy is a federal government that is morally pulped. By morals in this case I mean a govenrment that until 08:45 edt 11 september 2001 lacked any sense of self-accountability, full of departments and bureaus whose sole goal is job maintaince. It was soft like the flesh of a rotten pear.

People have started to wake-up -- I mean the career people -- the pensionaires. To wake up to the fact that there is some real duty. But Clinton's cronies are still in, and still pushing those wonderfully high-fat artery-hardening peacetime goals -- even at this time of war and clear danger -- of diversity, of tolerance, of worship of all the PC-idols -- as opposed to the real duties that were and that now obviously cry to be addressed.

Amazing, truly amazing. You people will never let up, will you, until Clinton is dead and buried, and probably not even then.

I don't think there is a statute of limitations on treason.

Does anyone really believe that Bush Junior would have done anything significantly different than Clinton in 1998?

Without a doubt.

...and in the wake of a massive attack on American soil, Clinton would be just as gung-ho as Bush is.

Absolutely laughable.

As for the most proximate possible cause of the tragedy, one that doesn't need in-depth research/delusional detective work, look no further than the laxity of airport security, reforms for which several large corporations opposed, supported by their Republican lackeys.

Talk about delusional. You're saying that intelligence information that operatives were here and had a plan to use airliners as bombs was meaningless and trivial and couldn't have been used to alter the events of 9/11.

And if you need reasons to be fearful for the future, there's always Bush's walk out on the biological weapons treaty negotiations, which might have limited the spread of these weapons.

Oh yeah, that's right. Saddam was chomping at the bit to sign on to those treaties. You're a complete ignoramus.

So when you take a long hard look at the multiple actors involved in allowing this to happen, it takes a very particular breed of brutal opportunist to use the tragedy to whip Clinton yet again.

He should be tried for treason, convicted, given the appropriate sentence and the sentence carried out. Same for his co-conspirators. His sympathizers should be ostracized and scorned for eternity and any trace of his existence wiped out.

Who will have the guts to do the patriotic thing and lay this at the feet of Hillary and her Marxist-stooge? Nothing happened in that evil administration that she didn't approve.

These Clinton scum and their Clintonistas need to be revealed. It sure as hell won't be the socialist, America-hating New York Times that does it!

"...Both had back-grounds that would have sounded an alarm had the CIA checked them."

I thought the CIA was forbidden to carry on activities on the USA Mainland.

This was a job for the FBI...uh, Mr. Freeh, IIRC,

you said it..the dots connect...what else are we supposed to make of our two best arab allies in the middle east, Saudi Arabia and UAE recognizing the Taliban govt during the Clinton years..They wanted Saudi Arabia and UAE to continue to recognize the Taliban who protected bin laden.. Saudi Arabia provided the financing.. The Taliban doesn't have the money to feed their goats..
