People are buying guns "for the children"(s) protection. I guess, good parents don't want their kids blown up by terrorists. Now if they can just cut off their kids supply of leftist propaganda in the schools, there may be hope for this countries future.
"A well-regulated Militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed." - Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution
Thank you for flying Liberty Airlines.

Oh, is this why I bought so much .357 ammo this week? Arming myself just seemed like the right thing to do. The media that claims that we are safer if we are helpless are sure looking like fools lately.

I didn't need a gun today, but I bought a case of shotgun shells to shoot them mean ole skeets.
I have a skeet range in my basement along side my rifle and pistol range.
No wait!
I have no basement. I must be using that wonderful
Rifle and Pistol Club range near me. ;-)

I'm very happy to hear about all the gun sales... let's also hope these folks get some good training -- so they can hit what they aim at.

While I admire the author's optimism, I got money that says the ASD (Anti-self defense) crowd's agenda is hardly phased by the events of the past two weeks. Before the year is out they'll be backing major registration/disarmament legislation in Congress.
One "Terrorist" shooting somewhere in the US of A and they'll be on CNN for half the day pushing their 'solution'.

From the article: "I'm not exactly sure how the pilots would both fend off hijackers with a firearm and fly the plane ..."
Two pilots (and an auto-pilot) and one airplane ...
You do the math.
Just exactly what are the co-pilot's duties during a hijacker's attempt to enter the cockpit? Dial 9-1-1 ?
To: TERMINATTOR
it will be a long, long time before Gun Control Inc. dares to advocate curbs on the Second Amendment again. Four guns in four cockpits could have saved over 6,000 lives. Just think about it all you gun grabbing politicians.
If you think a pilot with a gun is dangerous, just remember one thing. He is already in control of a 300,000 lb. missile traveling faster than a 45 cal. bullet at muzzle velocity.

Went to one of the Eastman Gun Shows today.......Atlanta area. Largest crowd I have ever seen. People were buying even though the prices were inflated.

Ok, since we are on the subject......
What is a good rifle to get for self defense during civic unrest?
(btw - been a member for a long time but I don't usually post. Cant remember logon name America"something". Is there a list of names? Probably not.)

What few have ventured to point out is that in this entire calamitous crime, throughout this act of war and terrorism like our country has never seen before, not a single gun was used. FMCDH BUMP!

the government would, and could protect us, they didn't, and
they can't, we must do it ourselves!!!

I just arrived back home from purchasing a Mossberg 590 DA. While going through the
usual rigmarole when purchasing firearms in California, the salesman let out a chuckle and pointed to a number
on my paper work.
He pointed to a number and said, "There are a lot of people buying guns in California
today." As of 5PM, there were close to 1300 shotguns or rifles purchased. He went on to tell me that usually
the number is in the mid hundreds on any given day. will allow me to pick it up.

Can't wait to go shootin'. Of course, I'll have to wait 10 days before the State
will allow me to pick it up.

I went to the Tanner gun show here in Denver last weekend. It was packed with all kinds of people buying guns and ammo. Sarah Brady would've wept.
I picked up 1000 rounds of 7.62x39mm for my namesake and I treated myself to a nice .45 1911. Bring it on!

"After all, there are some 200 million firearms in the United States, the vast majority of which are legally owned. "
This sort of quote always bothers me. A strict interpretation of the 2nd Amendment shows, they are all legal.
i.e. what part of "shall not be abridged" do you not understand?

How many americans died in hijackings before the 1970's, back when both the pilots and the passengers were normally allowed to bring loaded guns on board?
I am told that not one single american ever died when guns were legally carried on american planes.

200 million guns? Hee Hee Hee! Oh, you kid!
If you only knew!
