A Kimber 1911 45 ACP was actually my first choice, research and talking to folks at the range has led me to believe getting good with a 45 takes a long time. Logic at this time seems to be sloppy 10 round 45 vs. fair 9mm 18 round. Maybe the 45 will be my third gun :-) Thanks.
