Yes ...its true. I discovered today that I have been banned from DU(h) simply for the following ....

Offense #1.
Replying to a post that was complaining that given the political atmosphere since 9-11 odds are that our country will probably have a Republican House, Senate, and President after the 2002 election. I replied ... one can only hope.
Offense #2.
Posting in my profile that my profile could be viewed at www.freerepulic.com

I got banned from DU 3 times in 1 day!

DU banning #1: For merely commenting on a pro-Bush article by Gerald Posner (a leftist.)

DU banning #2: For posting a paragraph of the Hitchens piece from the Nation.

DU banning #3: Well I was fed up by then and I gave them a piece of my mind.

Here's a DU posting hint: The thought police there check out your post while you are previewing it! Therefore if they see anything objectionable, they will ban you before it can even be posted.

Solution? Simply do all your editing in your word processor, then when it's ready, cut a paste it into their form and post it all in one fell swoop with no preview. Then, at least, the post will appear before you are banned, and believe me, you will be banned if you step out of the party line.

I posted an article last night on DU taken from the AP showing that Gore suppressed the Military vote in Florida. I was banned in like sixty seconds and the only reply was "Another Freeper" or something like that. And I've only been a member here for a day!:)

Time to broaden your reading material, I guess. One good place to start is here. This site got a writeup in my local paper (Houston Comical Chronicle) in the business section -- they did a backgrounder on the folks that set up this website that caters to Pakistanis living in the U.S. and elsewhere, sort of a Yahoo for Paks.

Anyway, the link above sends you to the message board they have on the site, and it won't take you long to find the anti-American sentiment there. Seems like this place could use a serious Freeper-Adjustment.

Well I found out that they are all about ... nothing but hate America, hate Bush, hate freedom .... Hmmmm I guess it's really just about .... hate.

You give them far too much credit, you forget the things they love: terrorism, murder of civilians, and the destruction of values such as free speech (this last as manifest by the way they run their "forum").

Right now those who don't think we need to act militarily to defend our country are simply asking for more of these disasters.
