Saw it as well. I agree with the retired Colonel. It would have been a good idea a year ago, but now it is just too much in the way. Nothing out-does the U.S. Spec forces!

Yeah saw something on this about a week ago and then yesterday. They have their own guys already there.1 Billion is sweet. But the act is priceless. For everything else there is Mastercard and the U.S. Military.

What if one of his cronies kills him?

I'd prefer a billion dollar reward for curing cancer. Pay for a cure, not research.

Gotta be privately-held companies or private monies ... wouldn't 'public' companies have to get shareholders' boards to approve it?

This is a terrible idea...all this will do is muddy up the water with alot of wannabee's. We have Spec Ops we don't need a bunch of "cowboys" getting in the way. Semper Fi, Mike

Oh I think we are going to cure a cancer allright. Just not the kind that you are talking about. But yeah a billion would do alot of good for the disease. But I will take this one as well.

What if the second in command turns him in, we give them A billion to keep going? Don't make sense.

a billion dollar reward for curing cancer

Remember the old guy dying of lung cancer that got jury-awarded $3 billion from Phillip Morris a couple months ago. $1 billion is chicken feed these days.

I respect your opinion, but I think this is a good idea- he is not going to sleep well knowing even his own guys will be thinking about $1 billion reward.

This could even by 'psycho ops' for all we really know...

Okay, they pay 1 billion and they get Bin Laden. What then do they do with him--put him jail, make him solder transisters together in a Silicon Valley hoosegow?

I'd prefer to have him become a tiny little cinder on the floor of the Afghani desert.

I wonder if the Special Ops guys will get a chance to collect this.

I remember that the Emir of Kuwait offered 1000.00 a day for every soldier that served but Bush refused saying 'we're not mercenaries'.
