I went to Germany a few years ago, I saw where my ancestors owned a department store, which is now owned by Germans. I saw the small synagogue they attended, which is now a museum (which was the fate Hitler intended for what few synagogues would remain after he was done cleansing the land of the Jews, and it is mostly Judenrein today, except for immigrants from the (former) Soviet Union).

My family was lucky in that my great-grandfather saw Hitler for what he was, and fled. He was looked up to by other relatives, so many followed him out.

My Grandmother was forced to flee as a child and live with a family in Scotland. Her father was tortured in a concentration camp. Her family bribed some guards to get him out, and eventually they made their way to America. He had a hole in the side of his head from the Nazi torture, he killed himself not long after arriving here.

On the other side of my family, my mother says her father's job was to kick bombs out of our planes (our bombers weren't quite so sophisticated back then).

So no, to answer your question, the firebombing of Dresden really doesn't bother me.
