SPECIAL EDITION

The President addressed the nation this evening, and once again assured the American public and the world that it is our intention to bring the 'evil-doers' to justice. He also reassured the citizens of the United States that their government is doing everything within its power to track down any leads regarding possible terrorist activiy in the US. Bush also announced a new initiative for the nation's children to help the children of Afghanistan. Children can send one dollar to the White House and that money, via the Red Cross, will go toward helping the children of Afghanistan. Earlier in the day, the President attended a memorial service for those whose lives were lost at the Pentagon one month ago. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Thank you, rintense, for posting great pictures as always :D The President had a huge day today...he moved me during the Battle Hymn of the Republic at the Pentagon..and he spoke really well at the press conference this evening. He's a great man, and I am so grateful that he's in charge. God Bless America

Thank you, Sweetie. (I can call you that because I'm older than you are.)

President Bush looked tired tonight, which made me wonder HOW he could come up with those awesome answers to the press without even losing his concentration or stumbling. He was magnificent.

I loved the children's donation thing. What an inspired war effort this is. The children are frightened--this will give them a way to help and make them feel better. Not to mention the President's statement that they will learn generosity and character.

And I've been waiting all day to share this with you: Early this morning Dr. Laura said that she voted for Bush but only as the lesser of two evils. Then she said: "He turned out to be an absolutely fabulous leader. Oh my gosh, did we ever luck out--did we ever luck out."

Thank you Howlin. Found out that the times are off on the site! I thought Rintense had posted this in the afternoon and could see no replies! Turns out she had just posted it and that is why there were no replies yet!
Duh, I feel stupid, but the time mark threw me off for sure!

Thanks again, Rintense, for the great photos.

Today was an especially good day. Very reassuring to see this President and our First Lady in the forefront.

Only poignant pictures like this can convey the fullness of pride and confidence we all have for this wonderful man and the great team he has assembled to get the job done.

#37 - "Lean on Me"

#39 - There is absolutely NOTHING phony about the way these two look at each other. It is so comforting to see them as our role models.

I love the bottom picture in #39!

Also the pictures of President Bush tearing up just make me melt. There is something about this man, the way he is so open with his feelings, that really gets to me. He is the genuine article, nothing fake about our man.

He definitely was fabulous tonight!! I love it when he called the "terrists" (isn't that cute?) thugs and parasites! LOL And when he told the Taliban to "cough up" bin Laden. Yep, remember when everybody made fun of his being a cowboy from Texas? Well, I'll bet everybody is glad we have this tough guy from Texas for President now instead of some shiny, polished, girly boy from an Ivy League school. Barf.

On a less sarcastic note, there is a lot of seriousness on the faces of our President, First Lady, and the cabinet. That worries me. That means there's some serious you-know-what going on that we're blissfully ignorant not to know. We need to pray for them; they must be incredibly burdened.

P.S. Remember the jibberish about how President Bush was liked and respected but was never going to be "successful" until he was feared? I think that foolishness has finally gone by the way of his supposed lack of "gravitas," his supposed illegitimacy, his supposed lack of intelligence, and all that other silliness.

It was a very moving service at the Pentagon this morning. Especially singing "The Battle Hymnn of the Republic"!

So right. Just when I thought my kleenex budget would go down.

That plane basically flew over my house. Every time I hear a low flying plane my stomach knots. BUT I immediately remember who is our president and I feel strong.

I think the people in George Washington's time did the same knowing he was in charge of defending them.

To be honest, it is all I can take to see this man fighting back tears, I am not usually emotional, but to think what he must be going through right now is hard for me to imagine.

God Bless George W. Bush

Dr. Laura was wrong! Not luck--God's answer to the prayers of the faithful.

I am struck by how God has really developed Ws presidency every step of the way in these last 10 months. His whole presidency has been about foreign policy! (Man this looks like the China situation seem like child's play!) But really- look at how W was broken in on China, went to Europe and dazzled ALL the leaders- whom now we need more than ever and his winning them over has aided us tremendously (when the French said they were willing to fight I almost fainted) - winning over Putin, and even his month long "vacation"- God knew that he would need some serious R&R with his beloved Laura to sustain him through the fight ahead. Interesting to see God work so clearly.

My Hubby and I were at our county fair during the President's news conference and were watching it via the booth our local news channel set up on the grounds. Afterwards, a reporter asked us to respond to his announcement about more terrorism happening being almost certain. I did so nervously, flubbed up several times, but the worse part was, I had just finished eating a humongous plate of fish and chips and I didn't have any lipstick left on! YIKES! The horror! LOL!
I wanted to ask the reporter if she minded if I put on fresh lipstick first, but I decided she would think I was vain! (She would have been right!)

I could not agree more, I can't think of a better couple for our children to look up to.

God's Sovereignty in leading this nation, and providing us with a Godly leader in a time of need, has never been plainer in my lifetime!! In a few short months, God has given him the experiences necessary to be prepared for what he is doing now. But he has also had a lifetime of love from his parents and his wife and 14 years to deepen his faith which have helped give him the tools he needs for this hour.

Our God is an AWESOME GOD!!!

I also sobbed during the pentagon service. It was so moving. I tell you, this horrific act has been such a spiritual awakening for America. Our President and First Lady have led us into such an outpouring of prayer and love for each other and country again. There is something about Laura Bush that just evokes comfort. I would guess she is afraid also, like some of us, but to see her face with that calm demeanor, you would never know it!
And Dubya, well, what can we say , huh? He just shows great strength and confidence and above all focus! When I see them, I feel better for awhile!
God Bless the USA!!!
