I'm annoyed, too. And, certainly can do without him.
The problem we have is that the 65% of the US public that does not believe in overwhelming use of force still watches this crap.
We need to convert or replace the talking heads to get through to at least half of the rest.
Fortunately, events are moving in our direction.

What really amazed me was NBC's request that the gal be allowed her anonymity and their mention that the authorities wanted the contents of the note kept confidential. Hey Pressholes, what about the 'peoples' right to know.'? I think the other media types 'owe' it to us Sheeple to divulge all. Geez, the animosity from everyone in this thread is a bit much. Sure, Tom's no hardcore conservative, but he is a MILLION times more mainstream than Rather and Jennings combined. He, and NBC News in general, has always been by far the least liberal network news organization, and the most fair to our side. Let's not make him the enemy.

I mean, Brokaw is Yankton, South Dakota, born and bred. You can't come from there and be too disconnected from reality. Did you see the NYT's editorial yesterday praising GWB? I can't help wondering if the suspicious package received at the NYT hasn't influenced their editorial page. Maybe the terrorism hit a little too close to home? ...you know what they say about a liberal mugged. If the NYT and NBC has any more scares like this, they may soon be calling for the nuking of Afghanistan.

And if any suspicious packages show up at CBS, maybe we will even see Dan Blather wearing an American flag.

Brokaw has long been a fanatical supporter of uncontrolled immigration, moral relativism, and multiculturalism. So long as it didn't affect him and his cushy little world in elite NYC society, everything was fine.

I lived in Texas a few years back and remember constantly reading stories about ranchers who lived in the border regions. Their lives were being destroyed by uncontrolled immigration from Mexico....their fences were torn down, their houses were broken into, their irrigation pipes were broken into, their cattle were slaughtered...and the mainstream media didn't give a hoot (except when the occasional rancher took a potshot at the illegals...then the media had a cow about how racist they were).
