Between 100 and 200 US Army Rangers are conducting a raid against Taiban targets in S. Afghanistan...more to follo as it comes in.

Have to discount the source. Dan Rather is proven to be biased an unreliable in his handling of the truth.
Besides, if he has info about Spec Ops, someone wanted him to have it.
If true, it is hours old info about a completed op.

already provided the humint to plan 'this' raid.
AND, NBC could not have filed that report without the express permission of the command, or he/she/it would be swimming, or pacing the brig.

Fox is reporting that it's 3:30 am in Afgan and the action is 'on-going' this hour. Helicopters and gunships.

FOX NEWS REPORTS---Rangers, on the move with Helos and AC130 Gunships, raining gunfire on opposing forces.
