I checked my immunization records today, and I was vaccinated in 7/76 (USN). I think immunization for the general (civilian) population ended much earlier, though.

I believe the year for stopping general vaccination was for people born 1972 or later. I just had a forward-thinking doc... oh well. Wonder if this means I'm first in line among the civvies? :D

Great idea....duh! I never thought to check my vaccination records. I knew that I must have been vaccinated because I was born in 1961 but I have no scar.

I was vaccinated for it twice. The first time at the age of 2, which I find strange because the vaccination record says to vaccinate at the age of 5-6 years.

I was vaccinated for smallpox the second time only 3 years later in 1966 when it suggests that the vaccine be repeated every 4-5 years.

Who knows what my Dr. was doing, I'm still here he must have done something right.
