McVeigh's Ghost - Top Pentagon Officials Say Iraq Involved in OKC Bombing
US News & World Report/ Fox & Friends ^ | October 23, 2001 | Paul Bedard

Some dismiss it as being akin to Elvis sightings, but a few top Defense officials think Oklahoma City bomber Tim McVeigh was an Iraqi agent. The theory stems from a never-before-reported allegation that McVeigh had allegedly collected Iraqi telephone numbers. Why haven't we heard this before about the case of the executed McVeigh? Conspiracy theorists in the Pentagon think it's part of a coverup.

Will Congress investigate the allegations now?

Is the Pope Islamic?

We are in the "You can't handle the truth" phase of the OKC bombing. The Bush administration will continue to cover it up. I like Bush but the evidence is clear that Clinton dirt (and this a Clinton mud pie) will not be surfaced by Bush. Ditto TWA800.

Let's dig McVeigh up and ask him.

McVeigh was cremated, per his request.

Evidence of Iraqi involvement would have meant that x42 would have had to take action and be a commander, which is something he is not. And it would have meant he would have had to curtial his obsession with Hollywood, sluts and money grubbing...all things he cannot live without.

It also meant he could not demonize Rush Limbaugh and talk radio by blaming the VRWC for the bombing by McVeigh.

Thanks for the very important flag. All I know to say is that Admiral Jeremy Boorda would have been very proud of how this is coming down.

Thanks for the link...It will take me a while to sort this out but it seems significant to see this in US News. What's your take on it? Why would the Iraqi link have been hushed up?

It is interesting to see it in US News, though they don't really say much. These rumors have been around for awhile, it will be very interesting if the media start to follow them up.

Why? I think comitatus covers most of it when he notes, "According to Dick Morris, who was there, within hours after the bombing, Clinton and his spin doctors decided to use the OKC bombing as a means of attacking Newt and other conservatives by blaming them for the "culture of hate". He was clearly a political animal, and Iraq was not on his radar screen. Witness our constant easing of overflights, inspections, and refusal to aid the insurgents in 95(?). More important, once McVeigh was identified, it was a series of pleasant photo ops, with no additional national cost to the nation.

Setting his politics aside, and assuming he was acting in the nation's best interests at all times (huge assumptions-I don't believe either one), I always felt that our most "intelligent" president, a photographic memory, a man who could juggle multiple tasks at a time, had an attention span just longer that my dogs. He may have changed directions solely on political whims, but his many turnarounds can also be seen an an inability to focus on long term, multi year goals, particularly when there were no short term payoffs. He surrounded himself with advisors of a similar mindset. Look at the Oslo process, multiple stumbles, always described as great victories and gloated over by the press from 93 to 2000. At the end of the process, he still couldn't get the PA to honor a commitment as simple as acknowledging Isreal's right to exist. Bosnia, out in a year, one year at a time. Kosovo. His domestic programs were characterized by the same lack of long term vision and commitment, and an unwillingness to pay any short term political price. What did he accomplish for even his most rabid supporter? In this enviornment, I doubt that anyone would want to collect to dots (if there are dots there). There was no political upside to fighting Iraq, and probably short term pain.

There is a great irony that, in his desire to build a legacy one small event at a time, he overlooked his responsibility to protect the nation, our governments primary function. The first trade center attack, Khobar barracks, the embassies, the USS Cole, all on his watch. It would have cost him some political capital (mainly on the left) to start the war on terrorism when it should have been started, but he might have saved 6,000 lives at least improved the way history viewed him.

NO! NO! McVeigh had the phone numbers of right wing talk show hosts. Clinton wouldn't lie to us. Yeah!

What do you think that they'll come out and tell us everything? We didn't have a need to know and maybe they were protecting sources. Another thing the best way to understand whats going on in the government is to understand what they aren't telling you.

Sorry to say the OKC Bomb report by Charles Key is very incomplete. Key left out much of the vital evidence on the OKC bombing in my opinion based on my review of his report and based on what I and others gave him which he deliberately left out.

One of Key's Bombing Committe members told a witness recently that Key was holding back so he could put the other important withheld info in another report that people could spend their money on. The only problem with that is time is a wasting (more than six years now) and the committe member had promised witnesses that their info would be put in Keys original report if they would give him their info.

THe witnesses gave Key the info then he left it out of the report and it was not for lack of importance, lack of space, or lack of money. He had room, got the info in time (I verified this personally),told the witnesses how valuable their info was, and had many half filled pages in the final report on which to have printed the withheld info.

But there are some good tidbits in Keys current report and if his extra report ever comes out it might be good reading.

Frankly I would spend my money on Ambrose Pritchard's book and Hoffmans book first. I have posted over 30 articles on the OKC bombing. My reports and posts(for free on the FreeRepublic) along wiht Michael Rivero's info and Wallaby and Uncle Bill and Hoffman and Pritchard and Jayna Davis and David Schippers info (Eagle Forum & Alex Jones posts on FreeRepublic within the past month) will give you a much more complete and detailed view of the OKC case.

Thanks for the flag. I've read most of this thread, but not all of it. As far as I can see, everybody seems to be ignoring what I think is the obvious possibility that OKC was a real Reichstag Fire, i.e., that Iraq, bin Laden, etc. obliged Clinton and/or the CIA with OKC, the embassy bombings, the first attack on the World Trade Center, and God knows what else at their request, for their political advantage. That would have given Iraq and bin Laden plenty of leverage over Clinton and his administration, preventing, for example, them from responding to the attack on the USS Cole.

I was telling my husband just the other night that I thought the hijacker named ATTA looked just like that sketch of the John Doe in the OKC bombing. He agreed. He said maybe I should call the FBI. Of course, he was being sarcastic.

What purpose would the Clinton Justice Dept have in not making this connection back then...

The American people would have demanded justice and the pervert in chief just wasn't up to the job. His moronic ex-aides keep belly aching about how the bustard never had his shot at greatness like FDR and now GWB...but you see, he did have it and he blew it because he wasn't serious enough or man enough to tackle the situation head on. He was willing to lob a few Cruise Missiles if he thought it made him look good, but this would have required an all out military response. Instead he went on TV and whined about 'hate' radio. And guess what...his poll numbers started to rise. No need to get messy, his ass was out of the fire.

Clinton's 8 years were all about Clionton...what the press thought about him, what the world thought about, what the NAACP thought about him. It was NEVER about America and what was best for the people of this country. Praise Jesus he's no longer President...I mean that sincerely from the very depths of my soul.

I think there may be some credence to this, to whatever degree Im not sure. But I do recall an article from a few years ago mentioning several terrorism specialists brought in to survey the damage at OKC noticed something in the chemical makeup of the explosive that was used had a residue known to be used by middle eastern terrorists. Granted there is alot of speculation still going on about this, but in light of this and other new reports Ive heard it puts those findings in a new light.
